Is it quicker than a regular download? Is it safe to use, and what other points would you recommend I consider before trying it out? I'm using Kubuntu and I see KTorrent is installed so I would likely use that.

vuze is azures, so its in jave, its banned from most good trackers as its insecure and allows spoofing.I have never used bittorrent before, but would like to give it a try. I took the Pepsi challenge between Vuse and uTorrent using the exact same torrents (3 different torrent files) and when uTorrent would connect to like 5 seeds, Vuse connected to 50+ and just screamed!! Utorrent would have an eta of a week/s and Vuse would have an ETA of a few hours.ĭuring my pepsi challenge I had uTorrent set up for max connections AND bandwidth. I have been using Vuse (formerly Azureos I believe) lately. I always wondered why when there are 400 active seeds, uTorrent would only connect to 7-10 and the ETA would be days/weeks!! I searched and found several torrent progs that are way better, and faster, than uTorrent. UTorrent suck balls! People who use it and spout off about it are the ones who dont know what real bandwidth and large amounts of connection really mean.

Who wants to use a rubbish Java based program like Azureus which just wastes tons of resources todo a simple job like downloading.BS propaganda like that make me think you helped write the program.
