The entire Diving Knife measures about 12 7/8" inches in length. The blade measures about 6 3/4" inches in length. The WWII Deep Sea Diving Knife is in nice overall condition and shows honest use and honest age. It looks like there was a brass swivel on the pommel that is missing. Leather strap with galvanized buckle attaches to loop of sheath is present. The grips are turned wood and the hilt has a brass pommel, and the knife screws into a heavy brass cylindrical scabbard. The knife has the standard 6 7/8 blade with saw teeth on one edge. There is a slotted brass tab on the Scabbard that allows a leather loop to be inserted for securing to the Diver's Weighted Belt. This is an excellent WWII US Navy Dive Knife made by Kabar. The handle is original to the Dive Knife and is made of Wood. The WWII Diving Knife has a threaded guard area and the top section of the solid brass scabbard is threaded which allows the Knife to be screwed into the Scabbard.
